2026 WINTER ACADEMY - REGISTER YOUR INTEREST NOW

Venue: Bishops Stortford College Sports Hall

Following the huge success of our last Winter programme, BT Cricket Academy is delighted to invite you to join its 2026 Winter Academy, running from January to March 2026.

The sessions will take place on Mondays & Thursdays.

The programme will consist of 9 weekly sessions running from January until March. These sessions will be tailored to everyone’s needs and will focus on maximising their skills of all 3 aspects of the game.

Head coach Ben Twohig, spent 6 winters as a professional cricketer for Worcestershire and knows exactly ‘how’ to prepare young players for the new season.

Costs:
Mondays – 9 weeks of sessions (2 hour session) £325
Thursdays – 9 weeks of sessions (2 hour session) £325

*Please note: Booking individual sessions is not permitted as the training programme will run on a week to week schedule to enhance learning & performance.

Your Winter Academy Head Coach

Head coach – Ben Twohig

Level 2 Coach and ex-professional cricketer, specialising in Batting and Spin Bowling. 

Ben spent 6 winters as a professional cricketer for Worcestershire and knows exactly ‘how’ to improve players during the off season. Players need to ‘hit the ground running’ and be ready for the 2026 Summer season!

Cricket player THILAN WALALLAWITA

Coach – THILAN WALALLAWITA

Thilan was born in Sri Lanka and has made over 30 first team appearances for Middlesex CCC.

Thilan is left arm spinner who entered the Middlesex Academy via their age-group set-up.
He later earned his first professional contract in 2020 after finishing the 2019 season as the leading wicket taker in the Second Eleven Championship. He has made 15 appearances in the T20 blast.
