Venue: Outdoors at Bishop's Stortford CC

This new initiative aims to ensure that our junior cricketers are MATCH READY for the 2026 season.  It offers a more specific approach to match play.  

In this vital interim period between the Winter & Summer, we aim to maximise the learning from the BT Winter Academy & carry these skills into the outdoor setting.

We will focus on these vital aspects of the game, so we really hit the ground running.

  • Match day scenarios
  • Running between the wickets
  • Picking gaps & strike rotation
  • Outfielding & relay fielding
  • Bowling to a specific field

Open to all juniors, boys & girls, who play hard ball cricket, for ages u9 – u15

Costs: £125 (all 5 sessions)
Mondays OR Fridays

*Please note: Booking individual sessions is not permitted as the training programme will run on a week to week schedule to enhance learning & performance.

Head coach – Ben Twohig

Level 2 Coach and ex-professional cricketer, specialising in Batting and Spin Bowling. 

Ben spent 6 winters as a professional cricketer for Worcestershire and knows exactly ‘how’ to improve players during the off season. Players need to ‘hit the ground running’ and be ready for the 2026 Summer season!

My son has made a lot of progress

Ben has a great ability to simplify his coaching messages and deliver them in a way that younger players can easily understand. Even after only a few coaching sessions my son made a lot of progress in areas he had struggled with previously.
